"Charmayne I just wanted to thank you for sharing your gift not only with horses but with people. My expectations were far exceeded at the Litchfield Park clinic [March 2010]. I didn't think I would be so intimidated, but I was. Everyone was so great, I was comfortable in no time. Your whole team was wonderful. My only complaint was that I wanted more time! I have never felt as helpless as I did there for a couple of hours, but I left with this new confidance in my colt. I am more aware of what I'm doing more than I have ever been. I may be 70 when I finally master the techniques, but I am determined and will get it. I can already feel the difference it has made in my horses. My Grey horse clocked faster than he ever has in a barn he knows well, and that was with some mistakes on my part. (the good thing is I was aware that I made the mistakes and won't do it next time). I love my horses and they will always be part of my life, now I pay more attention to ways to make their lives easier and happier, they have given me so much joy in mine. Your an amazing person, you inspire me to be better. I wish I would have been confident and bold enough when I saw you at rodeos years ago to just ride up and say 'hey'. Hopefully I will get a chance to ride with you again, I feel that I have so much more to learn. Thank you again for the things you are doing."

"I just want to thank you all very much. We got back home in Texas (from Las Vegas) late Tuesday night. I practiced what I learned at your clinic Wed, Thurs, and Fri. Saturday I entered a 4D barrel race. Redman and I ran our fastest time so far, we clocked an 18.6, I was thrilled!! The last time we ran in this arena we were right around the 20 second mark. Our run was not perfect but it was greatly improved and it made me realize how fast we will be when we work some more on what you taught us. Thanks again."

"...from the Alpine clinic in July...I had the dark bay gelding who didn't want to turn the second barrel. I just wanted to let you know that I have been doing all the slow work really focusing on my hands keeping them quiet and moving instead of holding him and really trying to ride with my feet. Yesterday I made a practice run on him and he turned the barrel and didn't even think of ducking out. He even stumbled and continued on. I have hope for him. I just wanted to say thank you so much for everything at that clinic. You really saved me and my horse. I hope you come back this way again next year!!!"

"Back in the spring [2009] I brought my daughter (Casey) to Charmayne's clinic in Hamilton on her green 5 year old filly that we raised. We learned a lot of fine details that have helped us both. Casey just won her first buckle on this horse by winning the 1D youth at a buckle series close to our home in Waxahachie. She also ended up 2nd in the 2D open. Casey also ran just a second off of Terra Bynum at the World Barrel Race in Waco earlier this month. Not bad for a 12 year old on a green 5 year old."

"I was at the Fonda, NY clinic a few weeks back and yesterday was my first barrel race since then. Prior to the clinic my horse and I had been consistently knocking the second barrel, and yesterday, employing the methods I was taught, his turns were WONDERFUL. We didn't knock any barrels and we won money in both the Open 2-D and the Youth 1-D! A bunch of people from the clinic were there and no one could stop raving about what a wonderful learning experience it was! Thank you to Charmayne and everyone else at the clinic, we all hope you come back to the north east soon!"

"Just wanted someone to know I was at a clinic in May 2008 in Topeka, Kansas and am still reaping the benefits. I loved the clinic and the knowledge that I came away with."

Wanted to drop a line and a special "thank you" to Charmayne and all of her Team members.

A special thanks to you and all that you do to make sure that everything goes well with the Clinics. After managing several different special events, I can appreciate what you do and all of the work that does go into putting something like this together. An easy task it isn't, even though it is enjoyable and rewarding in the end.

It was so inspiring to watch my daughter, Nichole's face when the things that Charmayne & Kristin taught her started to work with her horse and the smile that it brought.

Charmayne's patience , knowledge, passion and her teaching ability are truly an inspiration to young women. In today's world our children need to have that positive role model to help keep them focused on what they can become if they set their goals and dreams and work for them.

It is so important to give everyone the full picture of why our horses are the way they are, Charmayne's Team covers every aspect of that. From Dentistry to Chiropractic, Nutrition, Veterinary and the barn, teaching the balance is so important. I have been to many clinics and not a one of them taught about balance and having that positive attitude.

Thank you, Charmayne for not only giving my daughter, Nichole a new opportunity to become better at something she loves, but for helping me to realize something's in my own personal life.

I am curious about the NONI juice. I have not every used it, would like to and have several people that are interested in trying it. Would you be able to tell me who I might be able to contact about it?

In a nut shell, it was a pleasure to have had the opportunity to meet all of you and to learn from your expertise. Thank you for giving back the gifts that you have truly been given.

God Bless!

Dear Charmayne:

I am writing to convey how much I enjoyed your clinic this past weekend. Not only was it extremely informative, it was also a great deal of fun. You have a wonderful staff that has a way of making you feel like an old friend. Everybody was so friendly and helpful, it reminded me of being at a summer camp when I was a kid.

For what it is worth, you are one of the most remarkable people that I have ever met. Although you have climbed to the very top of your profession, you have a genuineness that is undeniable and makes you very easy to approach. I watched as you worked with every single student, making sure that they understood and were able to benefit from your instruction. I honestly believe that your lesson will have a profound positive effect on the way I ride in the future. "Chief" and I are no longer merely a horse and rider, we are a team.

Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful gift. You have a unique combination of talent, humbleness and kindness that are very hard to find in today's famous athletes. It is also easy to see why you have been so successful. I am in awe of your talent, have tremendous respect for your hard work, and am envious of the passion you have for your profession. You are a wonderful role model for children and adults alike. Keep up the good work.

Dear Charmayne,

I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to you and your staff! The clinic is Decatur, TX was by far the best experience I have had. Sherry and Tammy are great! They really know how organize and conduct a clinic so that everyone can receive the maximum benefit!

I cannot put into words how grateful I am to you and your staff for sharing so much valuable information. I am in awe about how much research you have done about the performance horse industry and how you are driven to pass along all you have learned to others in an effort to improve the barrel horse industry. I took home with me an arsenal of information to improve my riding, training, and the health of all my horses. Randy, Daryl, and Dr. Bryd were so gracious and it was obvious that the health and well being of my horse, "Cash", was as important to them as it was to me. Rod was wonderfully patient with me as I asked him hundreds of questions! What a wonderful resource! I felt incredibly lucky to have a successful and talented horseman like Rod from a different discipline share his knowledge with us!

"Cash" and I are doing great! We are working on all the things we learned at the clinic and we are improving every day! I am also working with my other horses as well, and we are all making incredible strides of improvement!

Charmayne, you are a wonderful and amazing person! Thank you for using your gift from God and sharing it with all of us! I am amazed by your passion for life! You use your clinics in so many ways to touch all of us in so many ways. Your clinics are not just about barrel racing, they are about life, about being an educated horseman, about a positive attitude, about making good choices in life and about being grateful for all we have! I truly believe my horses are gifts from God, and since your clinic, when I walk out of my house every morning I look at all them and reflect on what wonderful gifts they are and say a special "Thank You" to God!

I am thankful for you as well! I have been flying high since my run on the third day of the clinic! I could not have done it without you! You have helped me to be a better barrel racer and I will always remember that! I cannot wait to attend another one of your clinics! In the meantime, I have typed up all the notes I took during the clinic, and use them daily.

Thank you so much!

I just wanted to take the time to say a big "Thanks" for everything that you and the entire gang did for everyone at the clinic. I thought that I knew a lot about horses and barrel racing, but boy were my eyes opened at your clinic. The time that we spent with Randy on Thursday taught me more than I ever thought I could learn about a horse. I did not realize how the mouth affects a horses body. Scotty was wonderful about answering our questions and gave me a lot of advice on how to keep my horses that have had leg injuries in the past sound.

I want to say a special thanks to you for the time that you took with each and every student. You made sure that when you were working with everyone's horse that everyone benefited from it. I enjoyed being able to ask questions about different horses and problems that needed to be addressed. Thank you for making the time that we spent with you personal. I feel like that I have made a friend for life and if I needed help that you would try your best to help me. I have been able to work my horses riding the way that you showed me and it has made a huge difference.

I just want to say thanks one last time for making the weekend something that I will never forget. I had been wanting to attend one of your clinics for a long time. I hope to keep in touch with all of the friends that I made while I was there.

Hello, I was just writing to let you know how wonderful the clinic was at Sterling this past weekend. I have learned so much by working one on one with Charmayne and her team. I thought that it was great how Charmayne was so interested in everyone and how she talked to everyone. She never made anyone feel like their horse was not a nice horse. I also enjoyed how her team of experts including yourself were so nice and wonderful to be around. I have always watched Charmayne on televison and it was a dream come true when I was able to meet with her and her team. You have really educated me and letting me know how important the teeth were in a horses mouth. I could go on for many days about how great it was. I really learned alot and I would come to another clinic. I may come to the clinic in Oklahoma we have friends that live their just to see you all again!! Thanks for the wonderful memories and I will keep in touch!!!

I was at the October 8-10 clinic in Sterling Illinois. I wanted to write and tell you that it was the most incredible experience that I have ever had!! Charmayne was wonderful & knowledgable and so insightful. The dentist and the chiropractor were so helpful and easy to talk too. And how can I forget Tammy, she was so patient when my horse was flinging her around the arena as she was trying to get him bridled. And of course Johnette, she just kept the whole thing together and moving (despite not having her clothes the whole weekend).

I was so scared to go to this clinic and when I left I did not want to leave. I learned more this weekend then I probably have in the last 5 years and I heard more then one person say the same thing. I really hope you guys can figure a way to come back or get close to this way again because I would love to do this again. All of you are incredible and have given me and my horse Whisper hope in the future.

Thanks to all of you!!!!

I just wanted to say "thanks again" for an outstanding barrel racing clinic in Sterling, Illinois. I had been excited about your clinic since I found out about it in January. It turned out to be even better than I had hoped that it would be. I feel that I gained more knowledge in one weekend that I could in a whole year.

Thank you for you patience with Sancho and me. I never felt pressured or hurried. I appreciate all the time that you took with my horse. I understand him so much better now. I feel like I have a completely different horse than I did before the clinic. The things that you taught me, as a rider, made so much sense. I think that between the knowledge I learned about my horse and what I learned to do to improve my riding skills, we will become a much better team.

Thanks so much for being so kind-hearted, so patient, and so dedicated to the sport of barrel racing.

I admire you for your wonderful qualities. I can't wait to attend another one of your clinics. Hopefully I'll see you at one in 2005. Thanks again, Charmayne!

Just wanted to say thank you for coming to Starkville and conducting such a wonderful clinic. I went to the NBHA Mid-South Nationals this weekend and was a little nervous about running with the new bit and no tie down since I hadn't really had the chance to make runs with the new equipment yet. But Dash is really working well. I was really amazed at the difference. I know it is a combination of all the adjustments that were made on both her and me last weekend. I think having her teeth worked on probably made the biggest difference.

I still have a lot to work on with my positioning but she is taking care of me for now. Even with us being all over the place we were just ahead of the 2D the second day and ended up 5th in the 2D average. The amazing thing is I really feel like when I am better able to keep myself focused and positioned in the runs we will be able to compete with the best horses. In looking at the video of my run Sunday there is at least a half second room for improvement which would have had us winning the race ahead of horses as excellent as Red Man Bay. I've never ridden a 1D or 2D horse so it amazes me that I can now see the possibility of winning big races.

We are coming out wide on our first barrel but I feel like this will improve over time thanks to the things Charmayne showed me. I must admit I still feel "star struck" when I remember that "Charmayne James rode my horse!" What a wonderful opportunity to not only meet Charmayne but be able to learn from the best ... including Scotty, and Randy! I feel like I have a whole new insight and understanding of my horse.

Thanks again,
    Joan Kuykendall

I wanted to tell you again how much I enjoyed the clinic and getting to know everyone. Charmayne you are unbelievable in so many ways and I was very impressed with the manner in which you helped and encourage everyone. I am such a first impression person and you really made one with me, but I do have to confess it was Tyler who stole my heart with that first smile and spit bubble. Please send me your address and I will send you some of our famous MSU cheese.

Thank you again. I did feel that I learned something new and have some areas to improve on. Progression is important in the hobby that I so love.

Thank you again,
Bricklee
